New Online Community for Drivers Launched: DigMyDrive.com
Las Vegas -

LAS VEGAS -- A new website is encouraging drivers to voice their opinions on all things auto-related - from the coolest new cars and gadgets, to finding a good local mechanic or debating the best songs to sing while driving.

DigMyDrive.com (www.digmydrive.com) is a new online community where anyone who drives can research automotive information, chat with other members, or show off their ride with pictures and video. The site has a variety of eCities to help members target the type of driver they are - from collectors to carpoolers to soccer moms and senior citizens. Everyday people and auto experts serve as bloggers, facilitators and forum moderators on the site. Membership on DigMyDrive is free.

"There are 200 million drivers on the road in North America, and each of them has something to say," said DigMyDrive's Brian Edwards. "We're providing a forum where people can read, rant or rave about what's happening in their life behind the wheel. This is not just 'Facebook® for cars' - it's an online community where people and companies can interact about anything related to cars, trucks and the driving experience."

One major difference from other online communities and social networking sites is that DigMyDrive.com is inviting companies and organizations involved in the driving experience to develop a presence on the site. "We want to create additional opportunities for dialogue and sharing of information - and opinions," Edwards said.

To register, visit DigMyDrive.com. Prospective bloggers, as well as companies and organizations that would like to learn more about building a presence on DigMyDrive.com, can send an email to info@digmydrive.com. Roll in. Hang out.

NOTE: DigMyDrive.com's Brian Edwards will be visiting the SEMA Booth of one of its founding sponsors, GuidePoint Systems (Booth #10415/North Hall), today from 12 noon - 2 p.m. PST.
